Once you’ve inserted an icon, you can format it in a similar way to PowerPoint shapes, by changing the fill colour, line colour and graphic effects. You can also crop icons just like you can crop images. However, there are plenty of free presentation icon resources online like The Noun Project – an icon library with over 2 million icons! Unfortunately, the icon library isn’t available in earlier versions of PowerPoint. When you’re selecting icons from an online resource, keep the design style consistent. This helps your presentation look professional. For example, the beach-related icons above are completely different styles and would look odd if they were all used on the same slide. The Orion icon library is a great resource as you can filter the results by style – line, solid, colour, or flat. You’ll have to do a bit of digging – and don’t forget the numbers and punctuation! Scroll down to the key management section of your application to retrieve your API tokens.Ĭopy both the Key and the Secret values over from the Noun Project application page into the WPIcons Pro Noun Project services settings page. You can enter values similar to the following, or enter your own values: Enter the following, or similar, values into the Noun Project Application settings.Ĭreate the application, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Key Management section. You should then see a screen similar to the following: Create a Noun Project application to get your API keys.Įnter an application name as well as a description of the application. Hover over the icons in the top left-hand corner of the screen, and towards the bottom click on “Icon API”. Once you’ve created your free Noun Project account, you can head into the Icon API screen. You will need to create a free Noun Project account before you can retrieve your API tokens. You can also view the Noun Project API Dashboard here. Click on the “ Noun Project API Dashboard” button inside of this metabox to be taken to the Noun Project website. You’ll see in the right-hand sidebar titled “ The Noun Project API“. You’ll notice that there are two fields on the settings page, API Key and API Secret. The Noun Project service settings page is very straight forward. Enable the Noun Project icon service inside from inside the services page.Ĭlick on the blue Enable button inside of the Noun Project service container. Once on the Services page you’ll be presented with a list of Icon Services (similar to the image below) that you can enable or disable as needed. Enable the Noun Project Serviceįirst you’ll need to enable the Noun Project service, which can be done from the WordPress dashboard by navigating to WPIcons ⇨ Services. The icon services are only avaiable to Plus and Ultimate license holders.
